Our Story
The Liberty Baptist Church was organized in 1976. In 1992, Timothy Green became pastor and since that time the church has seen steady growth, both numerically and in ministries to the Golden Triangle area. In 2011, Greg Watts was elected as senior pastor and is excited to be a part of how God will continue to make Christ known in our community.
In 1994, a 10,000 ft2 sanctuary with offices was constructed. November of 2002 saw the completion of a 20,000 ft2 educational building with twelve classrooms, commercial kitchen, and a full-sized gymnasium complete with locker rooms and bleachers for church functions and Liberty Christian Academy sporting events.
The Central Florida Bible Institute began its first semester of religious studies in January 2004 under the direction of Dr. Don Dion.
